On June 9 and 10, both parties already carried out two prisoner exchanges, which included the wounded, the seriously ill, and those under 25 years of age.

As in previous cases, Russia did not specify the number of soldiers exchanged today or the date of the next exchanges, which are carried out in the “all for all” format, according to the chief Russian negotiator, Vladimir Medinsky, previously.

“At the moment, the Russian soldiers are in Belarusian territory, where they are offered the necessary psychological and medical assistance,” according to the Russian military command.

Subsequently, “all Russian soldiers will be transferred to Russia to receive medical attention and rehabilitation in medical centers of the Ministry of Defense.”

In addition, a source from the Russian negotiating team confirmed to the TASS agency today the delivery of the bodies of another 1,200 Ukrainian soldiers who fell in combat with Russia as part of another of the agreements reached in Istanbul.

“Today, within the framework of the Istanbul agreements, Russia handed over to Ukraine 1,200 bodies of fallen soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Ukraine did not hand over any,” the source said.

In total, this week, Russia has handed over to Ukraine more than 3,600 bodies of soldiers and has received the remains of 27 of its soldiers from Kyiv. Previously, Moscow claimed to have agreed to the unilateral delivery of 6,000 bodies to Ukraine.
